CHEFDURKS CAFE EATERY (EASTERN CREEK) ASYNC IT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD Job Type: Full-time Location: Eastern Creek, NSW Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year + superannuation About the Role DURKS CAFE EATERY (EASTERN CREEK), operated by ASYNC IT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD T/A DURKS CAFE EATERY (EASTERN CREEK), is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing and cooking food to a high standard while assisting with the efficient day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and cook food according to recipes, menus and required quality standards.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes while maintaining consistent taste, quality and presentation.
Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal menu items.
Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
Organise food preparation, cooking, garnishing and plating.
Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation.
Manage kitchen stock and monitor inventory levels.
Assist with ordering ingredients, supplies and kitchen requirements.
Maintain effective relationships with food and ingredient suppliers.
Ensure food is stored, prepared and handled in accordance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and food preparation areas.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff where required.




Monitor kitchen operations during service and ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently.
Respond to customer feedback and assist with maintaining high food quality standards.
Ensure workplace health and safety procedures are followed.
Work effectively as part of a professional kitchen team.
Skills Experience The successful applicant will ideally have: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent/higher qualification.
At least 1–3 years of full-time relevant experience as a Chef.
Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
Ability to plan and organise food preparation and kitchen operations.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen.
Ability to supervise and train junior kitchen staff.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Robust attention to food quality, presentation and consistency.
