We are currently recruiting for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Mechanical Fitter to work for our client based in Kurri Kurri.

The position is day shift works on a Monday to Friday roster – 38 hours per week plus overtime.
Flexibility with hours of work allows for the choice of 4 x 10-hour shifts (1 day off a week) or 5 x 8-hour shifts + overtime Ordinary time pay rate is $69/h Duties will include: Repairing underground mining equipment such as boggers (LHD's / Load Haul dump machines), underground trucks, jumbo drills bolters, long-hole drills auxiliaries Diagnosing mechanical problems – Finding fixing faults with diesel engines, transmissions, gearboxes differentials, brakes, steering systems and hydraulic components Component change outs overhauls – replace or rebuild worn engines, transmissions, torque converters, differentials,



steering cylinders pumps Servicing preventative maintenance – changing oils filters, checking fluid levels, inspecting components, replacing worn parts completing scheduled services Testing machinery and recording repairs before returning it to service Position requirements: Must have – Underground Machinery Experience Trade qualification – Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing underground diesel machinery.
(LHD's auxiliary equipment)
Solid mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostic fault-finding capabilities.
Experience undertaking component rebuilds and major mechanical overhauls.
EXDes Code experience – highly desirable Underground Diesel OEM experience – desirable.
Licensed ExDEs Workshop or CP experience or RP experience – desirable.
