Currently, they have a vacancy for an experienced and skilled Chef for full-time.
Eligibility Criteria: ● AQF Associate degree, Advance Diploma or Diploma or 3 years of full-time experience as chef to replace the formal qualification.
● At least one year of relevant experience in industry in a similar position.
● You must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent resident for this position.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities: While your day-to-day responsibilities may vary, your primary duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: • Plan, design, and develop menus and recipes that reflect the café's style, seasonal availability, and customer preferences.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation at all stages of preparation and service.
• Oversee inventory management, portion control,



and cost control to achieve financial efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure all food preparation areas comply with hygiene, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff to enhance performance, maintain consistency, and promote professional development.
• Manage kitchen logistics, including scheduling, workflow organisation, and timely delivery of meals and catering services.
• Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of kitchen personnel to maintain a skilled and cohesive team.
• Innovate and introduce new dishes or specials to enhance the café's offerings and customer experience.
Other Requirements: • Proven experience in a commercial kitchen or café environment with strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques.
• Sound understanding of menu planning, cost control, and kitchen operations.
• Robust organisational and time-management skills in fast-paced kitchen settings.
• Ability to maintain quality under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene requirements.
Salary - $78,000 - $85,000 plus super Only eligible and short-listed applicants will be considered.
