Full-time permanent Truck Driver role in Garbutt, Townsville Deliver trusses and materials across local regional areas Safety-focused team with secure, ongoing employment About the Role This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced driver who takes pride in operating vehicles safely, delivering quality service to our customers, and being part of a supportive team.
You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of trusses, materials and other goods to customers and sites across the local and regional area.
You'll also assist with loading and unloading using the appropriate equipment, including cranes.
Tasks and Responsibilities Safely operate heavy vehicles and deliver trusses and materials across local and regional areas Load, secure and unload materials, including operating vehicle-mounted crane equipment Complete vehicle inspections and ensure loads meet safety and legal requirements Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, driving records and vehicle maintenance records Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, warehouse staff and management Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and assist with yard and warehouse duties when required Skills and Experience Minimum 2 years' experience as a professional truck driver.
A current HR, HC or appropriate heavy vehicle licence .
A current crane ticket/licence appropriate for the equipment being operated.
Forklift licence (LF/LO) is desirable.
Fatigue Management accreditation, where applicable.
Experience with local and/or regional deliveries.
Strong understanding of heavy vehicle safety, road rules and transport compliance.
Good knowledge of load restraint and safe load handling practices.




Ability to read delivery paperwork, manifests and use GPS/navigation systems.
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
The physical ability to safely handle and secure materials as required.
