About the Role Aligned with the Queensland Department of Education's role description, the Head of Special Education Services (HOSES) provides strategic leadership and expert advice to support students with disability and diverse learning needs.
The HOSES leads the planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based inclusive practices, targeted interventions and reasonable adjustments that enable students to access the Australian Curriculum and achieve success.
The role collaborates closely with teachers, leaders, families and external agencies to strengthen inclusive practices, coordinate support services and ensure resources are aligned to student needs.
