Job DescriptionFunction Manager | The Ship InnBase Salary $79,600 plus Super plus Group Wide DiscountsWe're on the hunt for a Function Managing Guru for The Ship Inn where functions and events bring our community together creating experiences everyone lovesA day in the life of a Function Manager:Lead end to end delivery of events, from planning and client consulting in a friendly manner, to execution and any post event follow upsManage and coordinate a very diverse events calendar - weddings, corporates, shows, entertainment and private functions and individually manage each individual clients needs when building such eventsManage payments, contract and event detailsLeading and developing functions team.
Communicating the timeline running of the event in line with venue expectation.
Being able to delegate roles amongst the team to help even work load with encouraging guidanceBuild and maintain strong client relations.
Ensure an appropriate response time to all clients in met.Identify opportunities for growth in the business.
Reaching out to existing clients, contributing to sale strategies and package offering, menu and upgradesBe a key part of the leadership crew, working closely with the Publican and Assistant ManagersShare your passion, skills, and creativity to grow a high-performing function and events teamDeliver exception functions and events with good vibes, great service and all those little extras going above and beyondInherent requirements:This is a hands-on role.
Physical requirements include setup of function spaces, table/decor staging, and movement of event equipment and supplies.
