LTD. trading as Croydon Centre Supermarket Location: 62 Brown Street, Croydon QLD **** Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $82,000 – $88,000 per year + superannuation Croydon Centre Supermarket is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail business in Croydon, Far North Queensland.
This is a full-time position suited to an experienced retail professional who is confident managing staff, stock, suppliers, customer service and the overall performance of a regional retail store.
Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the store Recruit, train, supervise and roster retail staff Monitor staff performance and maintain appropriate service standards Manage stock levels, ordering, receiving and inventory control Liaise and negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, orders and deliveries Monitor sales performance, operating costs and store profitability Assist with budgeting, pricing and promotional activities Ensure shelves and displays are appropriately stocked and presented Maintain accurate records relating to sales, stock and store operations Manage cash handling and store opening and closing procedures Respond to customer enquiries, complaints and service issues Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety,



food safety and other relevant business requirements Develop and implement procedures to improve store efficiency and customer service Report to the business owners/directors regarding operational and financial performance Requirements The successful applicant will ideally have: At least 2 years of relevant retail management experience, preferably in a supermarket, grocery store, general store, service station or similar retail environment Experience managing or supervising staff in a retail workplace Strong knowledge of stock control, ordering and inventory management Experience dealing with suppliers and managing store operations Good organisational and communication skills Strong customer service and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the overall operation of the store Relevant qualifications in retail management, business or a related field will be well regarded.
This is a hands-on management role in a regional community and requires a person who is comfortable taking responsibility for staff, stock, suppliers and daily store operations.
Salary: $82,000 – $88,000 per year plus superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications.
