Description Lead a great kitchen team without giving up your weekends.
We're looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the food service operation of a large residential aged care facility in Croydon.
This is a great opportunity for a Chef who enjoys leading people, running a kitchen and making a real difference to residents' daily experience.
What you'll be doing Lead and support a team of cooks and food services staff Manage rostering, performance and day-to-day kitchen operations Oversee nutritious, high-quality meals for residents Manage dietary requirements and texture-modified meals Work closely with care teams to support residents' nutritional needs Respond to resident feedback and resolve food-related concerns Maintain high standards across food safety, hygiene and presentation What we're looking for You'll be a confident kitchen leader with: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Experience leading a busy, high-volume kitchen Solid people management and rostering skills Experience managing dietary requirements and bulk food production The confidence to handle feedback, complaints and challenging conversations A genuine focus on quality and the resident experience Full Australian working rights Aged care experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
We're also keen to hear from experienced Chefs from high-volume hospitality, healthcare, retirement living or commercial kitchen environments.
