This is a key position within our construction operations, based in The Northern Rivers NSW.
As an Excavator Operator specialising in final trim work, you will be responsible for precision earthmoving operations that require skill, attention to detail, and extensive equipment knowledge.
This role is integral to ensuring our projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety whilst maintaining project timelines and budgets.Key responsibilitiesOperate excavation equipment with precision to perform final trim work on construction sitesMaintain strict adherence to project specifications and grade requirementsConduct pre-operational inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure safe and efficient operationWork collaboratively with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate earthmoving activitiesManage excavated materials and maintain a clean and organised work siteMonitor ground conditions and adjust operations to ensure safety and quality outcomesComply with all relevant health and safety regulations and site-specific safety protocolsCommunicate effectively with site personnel regarding operational status and any issues that ariseContribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement on siteWhat we're looking forValid Heavy Equipment Operator licence or equivalent certification demonstrating competency in excavator operationProven experience as an Excavator Operator, with specific experience in final trim or precision earthmoving work preferredThorough knowledge of excavation equipment, including operation, maintenance and safety protocolsStrong understanding of construction site safety requirements and best practicesAbility to read and interpret site plans, grades and specificationsExcellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awarenessPhysical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsReliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethicExcellent communication and teamwork skillsCurrent First Aid certification is desirableWhat we offerCompetitive rates of payFlexible working arrangementsOpportunity to work on diverse construction projectsComprehensive site induction and ongoing trainingCulture of teamwork and professional developmentValuing contributions of every team memberAbout usIreland Civil Contracting PTY LTD is a respected construction company specialising in civil contracting works throughout regional Recent South Wales.
