This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to manage all aspects of a thriving fitness facility whilst building and nurturing a strong community culture.
As Club Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational excellence, profitability and member satisfaction of the club.
You will lead a talented team, drive business development initiatives and ensure the highest standards of customer service are maintained at all times.
This role is pivotal in delivering on our brand promise and creating an exceptional member experience that keeps people coming back.Key responsibilitiesOversee all daily operations of the club including facility management, maintenance, cleanliness and safety standardsLead, manage, motivate and develop a high-performing team, including fitness instructors, personal trainers and administrative staffDrive membership sales, retention and engagement through strategic marketing initiatives and member relationship programmesManage the club budget, financial performance and profitability,



ensuring targets are met and exceededDevelop and implement strategies to increase member acquisition and reduce member attritionFoster a positive and inclusive club culture that aligns with Fernwood values and creates a welcoming environment for all membersManage member services, complaints and feedback to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and loyaltyImplement and maintain health, safety and compliance standards in accordance with relevant regulations and Fernwood policiesBuild solid relationships with local community organisations and develop partnerships that enhance the club's profile and offeringsReport on club performance metrics and provide regular updates to head office stakeholdersWhat we're looking forProven experience in fitness club management or similar hospitality/service-based management environmentStrong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teamsDemonstrated sales and business development experience with a track record of achieving or exceeding targetsExcellent financial acumen with experience in budget management and P&L; responsibilityCustomer service excellence and ability to build lasting member relationshipsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesKnowledge of health,
