Our client is a leading global financial and capital markets advisory firm, supporting sophisticated organisations across financial risk, accounting and technology.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate – Accounting Advisory to join a high-performing Hedge Accounting team.
This role offers the chance to develop specialist expertise while working with senior finance and treasury stakeholders across a diverse client portfolio.The role:Advise clients on hedge accounting strategies and complex transactionsPerform hedge effectiveness testing and prepare accounting documentationSupport journal entries, financial reporting and disclosuresProvide technical accounting advice across interest rate, FX and commodity hedgingConduct technical accounting research, particularly around IFRS 9Work closely with clients,



auditors and internal specialistsContribute to month-end and quarter-end reporting processesDevelop robust expertise in one of the most complex and evolving areas of accountingYou will ideally have:Around 5 years' accounting experience, with up to 3 years post-qualifiedBackground in financial reporting, audit or technical accounting advisoryStrong knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 9Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and client management skillsStrong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing environmentThis is an excellent opportunity to move beyond traditional accounting and develop a specialist advisory career at the intersection of accounting, financial markets and risk.You'll work alongside experienced specialists, gain exposure to complex transactions and build trusted relationships with senior finance professionals across the APAC region.
