About the roleWith a robust focus on operational excellence, the role is accountable for optimising production performance, growing and developing our teams, whilst maximising resource utilisation and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes, systems and procedures.
This includes ensuring production schedules are achieved, downtime and waste are minimised, and all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards in compliance with internal policies, food safety requirements, our customer expectations and relevant industry regulations.Key responsibilitiesLead and oversee daily production operations to ensure manufacturing targets and plan adherence are consistently achieved across safety, quality, cost, efficiency and outputDevelop, implement and continuously improve skills, production processes, systems and workflows to optimise manufacturing performanceManage production activities within approved budgets, including direct and indirect hours, labour hire, overtime, waste,



yields and other production related costsProvide leadership, mentoring and direction to Production Supervisors and production teams to achieve operational objectives and maintain high levels of employee engagementOversee daily production planning and resource allocation to ensure production schedules are met, customer requirements and manufacturing targets are achievedEnsure production activities support established operating procedures, quality standards, food safety requirements and relevant legislationIdentify potential production constraints and bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime and maintain continuity of supplyAbout youBachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering, or equivalent work experienceStrong experience in a Production Manager role (or similar) in the FMCG industryWorking knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metricsIntermediate to advanced SAP (Business One) skills or similar MRP/ERP platformStrong knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, legislation and complianceExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsProactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindsetResilient under pressure and able to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment
