Role Description This is a full-time, in office Pharmacy Technician role based in Melbourne, VIC. The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescriptions, accurately entering patient and medication information into pharmacy systems, and labeling medications according to regulatory and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include managing inventory, checking stock levels, organizing medication storage, and assisting with ordering and receiving supplies. The role involves providing customer service at the counter, responding to patient inquiries, processing payments,



and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The Pharmacy Technician will collaborate with the pharmacy team to support effective workflow, adhere to relevant regulations, and protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge and practical experience with Prescription processing and Pharmacy operations.
Experience working as Pharmacy Technicians in a retail or community pharmacy setting.
Skills in Inventory Control, including stock monitoring, ordering, and expiry management.
Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a patient-centered and respectful communication style.
Certificate or diploma in pharmacy/dispensary assistance or equivalent training (preferred).
Understanding of medication safety, basic pharmacology, and relevant regulations.
Ability to work accurately under time pressure, with strong attention to detail and organization.
Basic computer literacy and experience with pharmacy or POS systems.
Willingness to follow standard operating procedures and support continuous improvement.
