A strong accounting and taxation knowledge is vital for this senior accountant position.Key responsibilitiesPreparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trust, partnerships and individuals, including reconciling accounts and preparing detailed workpapersPreparation of SMSF financial statements and tax returns, and building workpaper files for audit, considered a bonusPreparation of activity statementsPreparation of payroll including payday super, STP, workcover and other annual lodgements such as payroll tax, TPAR and FBT returnsData processing and bookkeeping with the ability to work with a range of bookkeeping, accounting and taxation lodgement programsSupport and train other staffLiaising with clients to obtain information, draft responses to technical queries and maintain our relationshipLiaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodiesSupport tax planning and business advisoryMaintain your CPD with firm provided relevant trainingAbout you4+ years of relevant (Australian) tax experience in public practiceCompleted or near completion CA/CPA qualifications (or equivalent)
