We are currently seeking an Electrician (Rail Signalling) to work within our Western Australian Signalling and Communications Team, based in the Pilbara, WA.
This role will be reporting to the Electrical Supervisor andwill be Pilbara based on a 2/1 roster.
(Perth as a point of hire).
What you will doSignal Electricians are responsible for the installation and removal of power/signal cable and wiring of infrastructure in the rail corridor including but not limited to:Termination of train stop disconnection boxes and equipmentTermination of points disconnection boxes and equipmentTermination of main aspect and subsidiary signalsTermination of location casesTermination of signalling bungalow equipmentTermination of track circuit equipmentJointing of cablesAssist with testingWork closely with Signal Mechanics who are responsible for the installation of signalling infrastructureWhat we are looking forFabrication and termination hand skillsSafe operation of electrical toolingComprehension of electrical drawings/layoutsTeam orientated and ability to work autonomously as requiredWillingness to adapt and learnFlexibility of working timesClear and concise communication skills (written and oral)Importance on safety, quality,
