Locally, we combine the agility of a small, nimble team with the financial strength and global reach of one of the world's largest reinsurers.We currently have an exciting opportunity for a maternity cover Compliance Officer to join our Life & Health Subsidiary in Sydney.About the role:Reporting directly to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, this fixed term maternity cover role will be responsible for the management of the Company's Compliance Program including improvement, monitoring and reporting.You can look forward to:Maintaining and regularly reviewing the compliance obligation registerMaintaining documentation, monitoring and reporting of appropriate compliance measuresUndertaking a regular review of the Compliance Framework as part of the annual compliance reporting process with improvements implemented as deemed necessaryMaintaining oversight of incidents, issues and breaches in the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system and assessing and reporting compliance breaches in accordance with applicable breach reporting obligations and regulatory requirementsProviding advice to the business,



Board Risk Committee, Executive and Senior Management on compliance related issues and mattersAssisting with the development of training in relation to compliance issuesYou come equipped with:Intermediate to advanced level excel skillsUndergraduate degree in arts, science or law is preferred (does not require nor need a practicing certificate as this role is not a lawyer or legal representative position)Experience in legal and compliance roles in financial servicesTechnical and statutory knowledge as pertains to the requirements of this rolePeople and relationship management skills with the ability to communicate and liaise at all levels within the businessStrategic thinking capabilitiesExcellent organisation, attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectivelyClear and effective communication both written and verbal with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision and as part of a teamYou will stand out if you are:Technology-loving – you embrace HR systems, automation, and data-driven decision makingNaturally curious – always asking "how can we do this better?"Process-oriented – with a strong focus on continuous improvementTrusted and grounded – you build credibility through consistency, discretion,
