Join the Team at Lake Cowal Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Underground Electricians to join our operations at Evolution Mining's Lake Cowal Underground Gold Mine in New South Wales.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term project with a respected mining contractor while supporting the reliability, safety and performance of a modern underground mining fleet and infrastructure.
Responsibilities About the Role As an Underground Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of underground electrical systems, mining equipment and infrastructure.
You will play a critical role in ensuring equipment availability and supporting safe and productive mining operations.
Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on underground mining equipmentDiagnose and repair electrical faults on mobile and fixed plant equipmentInstall, maintain and inspect underground electrical infrastructureComplete statutory inspections and testing in accordance with site requirementsTroubleshoot electrical,



automation and control systemsMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationIdentify and report equipment defects and reliability improvement opportunitiesWork closely with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in accordance with site proceduresMaintain high housekeeping and safety standards Qualifications About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Australian-recognised Electrical Trade QualificationCurrent Electrical LicencePrevious experience as an underground mining electrician Experience maintaining underground mining equipment and infrastructure Experience with Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT or similar underground mining equipment highly regarded Solid fault-finding and diagnostic skillsCommitment to safety and operational excellence Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team environment Current Australian work rightsAbility to pass site medical and employment requirements Why Join Redpath Redpath offers a stable, long-term opportunity where your contribution is valued and your development is supported.
