About the role
You'll help design, develop, prototype and test a current product system from the ground up as part of a major industry-led engineering project. You'll apply first-principles engineering to real-world challenges spanning materials, structural and mechanical performance, durability, manufacturability and sustainability. Working alongside experienced engineers, manufacturers, suppliers and industry specialists, you'll help turn concepts into tested, practical solutions. For the right graduate, this is a rare prospect to be involved across the full product development cycle, rather than simply supporting an established engineering process.
Key responsibilities
Help take concepts through design, analysis, prototyping, testing and refinement
Balance competing requirements including structural and mechanical performance, material selection and compatibility, strength, resilience and durability
Consider manufacturability and workability
Address sustainability and efficient material use
Manage component and system integration
