National Logistics is a family-owned company seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for our Melbourne depot in Campbellfield. This is a practical, workshop-based role with a flexible set-up. We are open to candidates who want to work full time, part-time, or even full-time hours but over four days. It’s a excellent chance for someone who might be thinking about semi
retirement or perhaps wanting to work closer to home. We have a beautiful fleet of company-owned vehicles (mainly Kenworths) and trailers that we like to keep in top condition. Our workshop has all the tools and supplies our mechanics need to get the job done. Our team is responsible for servicing, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs, fabricating, and helping ensure our equipment remains safe, reliable and ready for operation. This isn’t a solo role; you will be working with our current mechanic, and our managing director is known for taking a hands-on role when it comes to the care of his fleet. Our fleet runs under Mass and Maintenance Accreditation schemes,



and the condition of our vehicles is vital to the success of the entire operation. Responsibilities include: Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel vehicles Inspect vehicles and trailers and identify potential issues before they become major faults. Investigate mechanical issues reported by drivers Ensure all vehicles and trailers remain safe, roadworthy and compliant Diagnose issues and test parts Provide onsite technical support Respond to breakdowns and help minimise equipment downtimes Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance tasks Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised workspace. Communicate effectively with the fleet manager, operations team and drivers. Required

Qualifications:
Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic trade qualification Negotiable hourly rate commensurate with experience.
