Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms.
Clean, disinfect, and sterilise dental instruments in accordance with infection control guidelines.
Provide chairside assistance, including suction and instrument transfer.
Prepare dental materials for fillings, extractions, crowns, and other procedures.
Welcome patients, provide support, and help ensure their comfort.




Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes as required.
Schedule appointments, answer telephone calls, and assist with reception duties.
Provide patients with post-treatment instructions as directed by the dentist.
Maintain stock levels of dental supplies and order materials when required.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain patient confidentiality.
Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organised, and ready for daily operations.
Assist with dental X-rays and other clinical tasks when appropriately trained and authorised.
Work collaboratively with dentists and other dental team members to deliver quality patient care.
