About the role
We are looking for an experienced, driven Leading Hand to lead crew delivery across retaining wall and civil landscaping projects. This role combines hands-on site leadership, plant/machinery coordination, and technical oversight with a transparent progression path toward Project Manager.

Key responsibilities
Lead a crew of 2–3 on site to ensure high-quality retaining wall builds.
Coordinate plant operation, materials dispatch, and site logistics daily.
Interpret engineering drawings and verify levels, posts, and drainage systems.
Enforce site safety, maintain SWMS compliance, and mitigate site hazards.
Progressively take ownership of complete project delivery.
Plan daily sequence, labour, plant,



materials and deliveries.
Track productivity, labour hours and issues.
Communicate with management, clients, builders and suppliers. About you
White Card (CPCWHS1001 or equivalent).
Excavator / Earthmoving tickets & practical operating proficiency.
MR or HR Truck Licence (highly regarded).
Proven experience in retaining walls or civil construction leadership.
Robust communication skills to liaise with management & clients.
Sound judgement, initiative and ambition to progress to Project Manager.
