Cec Automotive Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our automotive workshop in Belmore, NSW.
The successful applicant will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, repairing and maintaining a range of light motor vehicles.Key responsibilitiesInspecting vehicles and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and scan toolsPerforming scheduled servicing and preventative maintenanceDismantling and removing engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other vehicle components where requiredRepairing or replacing worn, damaged or defective mechanical components and partsReassembling mechanical components following repairs and ensuring correct operationReferring to manufacturer service manuals and technical specifications where requiredTesting and adjusting mechanical parts and systems after repairsCarrying out repairs and maintenance to engines, transmissions,



braking systems, steering and suspension systemsPerforming oil changes, tune-ups and other routine vehicle maintenanceIdentifying faults and determining appropriate repair methodsAbout youCertificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent relevant Australian or overseas trade qualificationRelevant experience working as a Motor MechanicStrong diagnostic and mechanical fault-finding skillsExperience using automotive diagnostic and scan equipmentSound knowledge of engines, transmissions, braking, steering and suspension systemsAbility to perform servicing, maintenance and repairs independentlyGood attention to detail and a high standard of workmanshipGood communication and time-management skills
