Autech Rail Australia Pty Ltd – Melbourne VICThis position involves predominantly night work across Melbourne's rail networks.
You will be involved in specialised rail maintenance operations, including profile and rail grinding works, machine operation, preventative maintenance and operational reporting.
The position requires a hands-on approach to machinery operation, equipment care and maintenance.
Training will be provided on Autech's specialised rail maintenance equipment, tools and operating systems.Key responsibilitiesProfile and rail grinding operationsSet up and operate specialised machinery and equipmentConduct daily machine inspections and pre-start checksPerform routine servicing and preventative maintenanceIdentify mechanical faults and undertake basic troubleshootingAssist with equipment preparation, servicing and repairsComplete accurate end-of-shift reporting and operational documentationMaintain safe working practices in operational rail environmentsWork collaboratively with other operators and project personnelAbout youPrevious experience operating machinery, mobile plant or similar mechanical equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving abilityExperience undertaking basic machinery inspections and maintenanceA reliable,
