We're looking for an organised, curious Financial Controller to partner with our Australian hotels and work alongside our Group Director of Finance.Why you'll love this role:Real ownership - you'll be the go-to finance partner for your hotels, not a cog in a big machineLearn from the top - work closely with the Group Director of Finance and get exposure to the wider businessVariety every week - city and regional hotels, so no two months look the sameModern finance - cloud systems and a team actively improving how we work, with room for your ideasRoom to grow - as La Vie expands, so do the opportunitiesWhat you'll do:Managing month-end close, financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations across the hotel portfolioPreparing monthly forecasts, annual budgets and business plansReviewing hotel performance, identifying variances and providing clear commentary and recommendations to General ManagersPartnering with hotel leadership teams to improve profitability, payroll productivity and overall financial performanceWorking closely with Accounts Payable,



Accounts Receivable and Payroll to ensure accurate and timely financial processesManaging and supporting compliance requirements including GST, BAS, PAYG, Capex and internal financial controlsMonitoring cash flow, working capital and hotel financial performanceEnsuring financial reporting is accurate, timely and aligned with company and owner requirementsSupporting the Group Director of Finance with portfolio reporting, analysis and strategic projectsIdentifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting and finance processes as the business continues to grow.What you'll bring:CA or CPA qualified (or close to finishing)3+ years in hospitality finance, ideally at hotel or cluster levelStrong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise across multiple deadlinesA sharp eye for detail and a knack for explaining numbers in plain EnglishConfidence working with hotel teams and building great relationshipsBonus points for Sage Intacct or Opera PMS experienceLa Vie Hotels & Resorts is the regions leading in independant hotel management.
