The candidates should be qualified in at least a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and should have a minimum of 1 year of relevant full time equivalent experience as a Cook in Australia.
Any additional qualification in hospitality management will be highly desirable.The candidate should be able to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:Food quality checking/inspection of the raw materialsSetting temperatures of various cooking appliancesPreparation, cutting,



chopping and marinatingPreparing and cooking food for various occasions including ala carteFood seasoning for cooking & adding gravies or sauces, garnishesPlacing food portions in dishesAssisting the Chef in planning of menusSupervising and collaborating with other kitchen staff for ensuring smooth conduct of kitchen operationsFood preparation for allergic or diabetic customersEnsuring hygiene and cleanliness of utensils, kitchen area and equipment used in food preparationOrder Groceries and supplies as required by monitoring their stockFood safety and storage in temperature controlled facility
