Commercial Analyst | Immediate Start | $120,000 Package | Eastern SuburbsBroad exposure across performance reporting, FP&A; and commercial analysisLevel ***** Canterbury Rd, Surrey Hills VIC ****Permanent full-time role | Hybrid, Melbourne's eastern suburbsThe OpportunityOur client is a well established Australian disability and community services provider.Reporting to the Finance Manager, with exposure to the Financial Controller, CFO and Senior Management Team, this role will turn financial and operational data into timely reporting and insight that helps leaders make better decisions.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong data skills and initiative who enjoys explaining the numbers to finance and non-finance stakeholders, and who wants broad exposure across reporting, planning, commercial analysis and the month end close.The ChallengeSome of your key responsibilities will include:Preparing month end performance reporting by stream, program and entity, and explaining variances to budget and forecastProducing weekly reporting on financial and non financial drivers such as hours delivered, utilisation, occupancy and labour costSupporting the annual budget and regular reforecasts, including maintaining models and reviewing submissions from operational managersBuilding service costing models for tenders, new services and pricing reviews, reflecting award costs, on costs,



NDIS pricing and overheadsPreparing business cases and benchmarking performance against external measuresAssisting with month end close tasks such as accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliationsThe ExpertisePlease consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:Degree in commerce, business, accounting or finance, with CA/CPA (completed or in progress) desirable2+ years' experience in commercial finance, FP&A; or management reportingStrong Excel skills, with experience building and maintaining financial modelsSolid accounting knowledge and an understanding of the P&L; and its non financial driversExperience in disability, aged care, NDIS or other labour intensive services, or in costing for tenders, would be valuedClear communication skills, including with non-finance audiences, and a continuous improvement mindsetAbout ThompsonCookAt ThompsonCook we develop robust relationships with top accounting and finance professionals across Australia.
