Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor on a 9-day fortnight roster, you'll work in a safety-focused environment where quality, teamwork, and technical expertise are valued.What You'll Be DoingChampion a strong safety culture and ensure all work is completed in line with Rio Tinto's safety standards and procedures;Perform fabrication, welding and repair work on mobile and fixed plant equipment;Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications;Inspect equipment, identify maintenance requirements and carry out repairs to required quality standards.Mentor apprentices and support the broader apprenticeship program;Maintain workshop housekeeping standards and contribute to a productive work environment; and,Support continuous improvement initiatives.About YouTrade qualification as a Boilermaker/Fabricator;Demonstrated experience in a maintenance or workshop environment;Proficiency in MIG, TIG and stick welding techniques; pipe welding experience is desirable;Strong commitment to safe work practices;Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail and work quality;Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and,Excellent problem-solving,

The mine is located on traditional land.
We work closely with the Traditional Owners toimplement our agreements,
