Position Details

St Joseph's College is a double stream Catholic school catering for students from Three-Year-Old to Year Twelve. The College is located in Albany approximately 410km south of Perth. We are seeking a D&T; teacher (woodwork) to teach Year 7 to 9 woodwork and Certificate II Construction. The College will support the successful applicant’s attainment of VET requirement.

Selection Criteria
Be supportive of the Catholic ethos of the College.
Have a knowledge of current curriculum developments (D&T;), including the running of a Trade Training Centre.
Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills so as to engage positively with colleagues, students and parents.




Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create a supportive and protected environment.
Have a solid understanding of a variety of assessment and reporting strategies and the need to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students.
Have the capacity to be a pro-active member of a skilled learning community complying with legal, administrative and professional requirements.
Demonstrate an ability to integrate technology effectively into the daily classroom setting.
A preparedness to be fully involved in school activities.

Qualifications Required
Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
