This role operates fromMonday to Friday, with shifts between the hours of6.30am-9.00pm.Overtime shifts onSaturdays and Sundaysare also available.
As aMedical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing an important role in creating a positive and professional patient experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
Billing procedures – private, Medicare, workers compensation, DVA, hospitalbilling and private health fund billings.
Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in the medical industry, knowledge of medical imaging and/ or private insurers and Medicare billing would be highly advantageous.
Explicit verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with interventional bookings and procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace, the clinic services both the Hospital and Emergency Department.
Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.
Relevant reception experience.
Confidence working across multiple screens and systems.
