As we expand into our brand-new, state-of-the-art store inBroadmeadows, we are looking for passionate, skilledDeli Assistantsto join our friendly team.
Our new store is designed to be atrue one-stop shop, featuring a full-servicebutcher,seafood counter,bakery,licensed bistro and café,sushi bar, and much more.

About the Role:
As aDeli Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving a wide range of delicatessen items including sliced meats, cheeses, antipasto, and other gourmet goods.
You'll work closely with your team to ensure the deli section is well-stocked, clean, and running smoothly throughout the day, while delivering outstanding service to every customer.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for fresh food, excellent attention to detail, and strong customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering friendly and knowledgeablecustomer serviceat the deli counter
Slicing, cutting, and gratinga range of smallgoods and cheeses to order
Preparing and packaging deli products for display and sale
Ensuring product displays arevisually appealing, clean, and well-stocked




Assisting withstock rotation, labelling, and checking use-by dates
Maintaininghigh standards of cleanliness and hygienein all food prep areas
Operating deli equipment safely and efficiently (slicers, graters, scales, etc.)
Following allfood safety,handling, andOH&S; procedures
Working as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive work environment
About You:
We're looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, reliable, and take pride in delivering quality food and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum6 months of deli or food retail experience
Confidence usingdeli-specific equipmentsuch as slicers and graters
Abasic knowledge of smallgoods and cheeses, or a willingness to learn
Strongawareness of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to work bothindependently and as part of a team
Great communication skills and acustomer-first mindset
Good physical fitness, including the ability to stand for long periods
Availability to workearly mornings, weekends, and public holidaysas required
