Business Development Manager (Industrial - WA)

AtManheim Industrial, we're growing, and we're looking for driven, commercially minded sales professionals who love being in the market, building relationships and winning new business.
This is not an office-based sales role.
Our auction site is currently based at Perth International Airport and this role covers WA as a sales territory.
We're looking for people who enjoy getting in front of customers, uncovering opportunities, solving commercial challenges and converting relationships into long-term business growth.
As aBusiness Development Manager - Industrial, you'll manage your own territory and portfolio while developing new business opportunities across a range of Industrial sectors including transport, mining, construction and earthmoving equipment, agriculture, manufacturing, government and corporate fleet.
The role is the primary customer-facing sales position within the Industrial division and carries direct responsibility for achieving personal sales targets through both new business acquisition and growth of existing customer accounts.
Success in this role will be measured through the achievement of personal sales targets, winning new customers, developing strategic customer relationships and maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities across your territory.

What you'll be doing
Winning new business
Identifying, pursuing and securing new vendor opportunities across your territory
Building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities
Prospecting new customers through networking, referrals, industry engagement and targeted business development activity
Leading customer meetings, presentations, proposals and commercial negotiations
Delivering personal sales, revenue and growth targets
Growing customer relationships
Managing and growing customer accounts while partnering with the State Sales Manager on strategic opportunities and major accounts where required
Conducting regular account reviews and growth planning
Building long-term relationships with customers and industry stakeholders
Identifying opportunities to introduce customers to the broader Cox Automotive service offering
Being the face of our Industrial business
Spending time in the market building relationships and uncovering opportunities
Representing Manheim at customer sites, meetings and industry events
Travelling regularly throughout your territory to engage customers, develop relationships and identify new business opportunities in key regional and industrial markets
Providing market intelligence and customer insights back to the business
Working closely with Service Delivery and Valuations teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
Delivering results
Maintaining accurate CRM and sales pipeline management
Managing opportunities from prospect through to delivery handover
