Kanes Buses Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliableSchool Bus Driver/Cleaner & Yardspersonto join our team in Henty, NSW.
This is afull-time positionoffering a unique opportunity to combine driving responsibilities with maintenance and yard duties.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of school students whilst maintaining our fleet to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities
Operating and driving school buses safely and punctually on scheduled routes, transporting students to and from school
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure buses are in safe working condition
Maintaining comprehensive logbooks and reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately
Cleaning and sanitising buses regularly, including interior and exterior surfaces, to ensure a hygienic environment for students
Performing basic maintenance tasks in the yard, including mowing and fuelling
Supporting yard operations and assisting with fleet management duties as required
Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies at all times
Communicating professionally with students, parents, school staff and colleagues
Contributing to a positive workplace culture and supporting the wider Kanes Buses team
What we're looking for
A valid Medium Rigid (MR) driver's licence, with a current National Police Clearance (NPC)
A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or the ability to obtain one
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical
Experience as a bus driver, preferably in school transport or passenger services is desirable but not essential




Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and a commitment to safe driving practices
Excellent time management and reliability, with a consistent attendance record
Physical fitness and the ability to perform cleaning and yard maintenance duties
Strong communication skills and a professional approach to working with students and families
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A customer-focused attitude and genuine care for passenger safety and wellbeing
Experience with basic vehicle maintenance and a willingness to learn is advantageous
