Cloud Delivered is on the hunt for a
Lead Data Architects
to join a high-impact federal agency gig that's right at the coalface of government service delivery for millions of Australians.
Picture this:
You're embedded in a large-scale federal programme, shaping conceptual, logical and end-to-end data architectures that underpin some of the most critical platforms in the country. You're the go-to voice in governance forums, influencing executive decisions, managing complex technical risks and mentoring the next generation of architects — all while working hybrid from QLD, WA, ACT, VIC, NSW, SA. The first 6 weeks are onsite to get you settled in, then it's a flexible hybrid arrangement from there.
This is an
EL2-equivalent lead role
— up to 12 months initial contract with extensions up to a maximum of 24 months. The kind of gig where your architecture artefacts actually matter and your strategic advice shapes real-world outcomes.
We know because we do.
Our crew has been in the trenches as ICT contractors — we know what it takes to nail enterprise data architecture at scale, and we know how to spot the talent that can deliver. If you've led architecture design across complex, multi-stakeholder environments and can hold your own in front of a senior executive or governance board, we want to hear from you.
You'll bring
:

Understanding of Australian Government and ICT governance requirements, including security, privacy, risk and information management obligations.
Proven ability to analyse business and technical requirements, identify capability gaps and develop architecture options that support strategic and operational objectives.
Solid written and verbal communication skills, with experience clearly presenting architectural advice and recommendations to senior stakeholders, governance bodies and executive forums.
Demonstrated knowledge of architecture frameworks, standards, governance practices and contemporary technology trends.
Demonstrated experience developing, reviewing and governing architecture artefacts, patterns, standards and technical documentation.
