EXPERIENCED SPECIALIST MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST PART-TIME 3 DAYS PER WEEK (+ cover for leave) MALVERN AND EAST MELBOURNE ONSITE PARKING GENEROUS SALARY A highly rewarding and gratifying position has become available with one of Melbourne's most experienced and highly respected Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeons in East Melbourne.
Specialising in Paediatric scoliosis and Paediatric hip conditions, alongside general upper and lower limb practice and the management of neuromuscular disorders, you will not only be supporting the surgeon but will be supporting the patients and their families.
They are looking for an empathetic, warm, upbeat, kind person to become a part of the team.
You will be working alongside a highly supportive Practice Manager who will be happy to help you every step of the way.
You will be based at Cabrini Hospital Malvern on Monday mornings, WFH Monday afternoon and in East Melbourne on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Hours: 8-4 on Mondays and Tuesdays, and 9:30-5:30 on Wednesdays.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



Meeting and greeting patients on arrival to the practice Scheduling patient appointments History set up – notifying of referral and appointment reminders Follow-up test results Liaising with various medical organisations Invoicing and receipting payments, following up on outstanding accounts Knowledge of Medicare (claiming and dealing with exceptions) Gentu medical software is essential Banking duties (EFTPOS) Running consulting sessions Calendar/diary management Covering personal/annual leave of colleagues when required To be successful in this role, you must possess the following attributes: Excellent patient rapport Be a kind, empathetic and energetic person An orthopaedic background (not essential) Exceptional grammar and written English Willingness to listen and learn Ability to work closely within a small team setting The team is ideally seeking someone who enjoys diversity in a role, longevity, and has the flexibility and willingness to work at 2 locations.
A generous salary will be negotiated depending on the level of skill and experience.
