Centre Director - Early Childhood Education and Care

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and hands‑on Manager to provide strong leadership across our early learning service, with a particular focus on regulatory compliance, child safety, educational excellence and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

Lead and oversee centre operations, ensuring high standards of education, care and service delivery.

Ensure full compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Regulations, NQS and Victorian Child Protected Standards.

Oversee regulatory compliance, internal audits, risk assessments and mandatory reporting obligations.

Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections and Assessment and Rating.

Monitor staff qualifications, clearances, training and educator‑to‑child ratios.

Lead, mentor and manage educators, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

Oversee incident management, child safety practices and implementation of corrective actions.

Manage staffing, enrolments, occupancy, family engagement and operational performance.





Maintain and implement the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

About you

Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA‑approved equivalent).

Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior leadership role within early childhood education.

Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance, child safety legislation and the NQF.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance and maintain high operational standards.

Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.

A proactive, accountable and hands‑on leadership approach.
