The Team
The Private Equity & Venture Capital team advises leading domestic and international clients on complex M&A;, private equity and venture capital transactions, spanning early-stage investments through to pre-IPO capital raises and exits.
Lawyers within the team benefit from direct Partner access, exposure to high-profile transactions across a leading national and international practice.
The Role
An excellent opportunity exists for a
Solicitor (2–4 PAE)
to join a market-leading Private Equity & Venture Capital practice in Sydney.
Working closely with experienced Corporate Partners and a collaborative national team, you will:
Act for leading private equity sponsors, venture capital funds, institutional investors and high-growth companies.
Assist with venture capital and growth equity capital raisings, from early-stage investments through to pre-IPO transactions.
Draft,



review and negotiate key transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, investment agreements and shareholder arrangements.
Undertake and manage due diligence processes and coordinate transactions through to completion.
Work directly with clients and other advisers throughout the transaction lifecycle.
About you
Ideally, you will have
2–4 years' post-admission experience
gained within a well-regarded Corporate M&A; practice.
Additionally, you will have:
Solid experience in corporate M&A; transactions, ideally involving private equity, venture capital or growth equity investments.
Excellent drafting, analytical and transaction management skills.
A proactive, collaborative approach and an interest in developing client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers.
Admission to practise law in Australia or New Zealand.
