Based in Wemen Victoria, Redgold Pty Ltd is a significant horticulture company that grows salad products. Redgold Pty Ltd is seeking a full time qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician.

The salary offered is $79,423per annum plus superannuation.

Job duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting with preparing drawings, plans, and designs for mechanical engineering work
-· Assisting in designing and modifying mechanical equipment and plant used in the planting, production and harvesting of fresh produce.
-· Selecting appropriate tools and equipment for installation, repair, and servicing of farm processing machinery
-· Assembling, installing, and maintaining current and modified mechanical assemblies, hydraulic power systems, conveyors, and packing lines used in production
-· Estimating material requirements, parts, and machine needs to support farm-based processing operations
-· Conducting tests of mechanical systems, collecting and analysing performance data,



and preparing reports to ensure equipment meets production demands and food safety standards
-· Organising and supervising the inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of large-scale processing and packaging machinery to minimise downtime
-· Ensuring designs, modifications, and completed work comply with industry specifications, safety regulations, and Redgold quality standards
-· Supporting engineers in continuous improvement projects to enhance plant reliability, efficiency, and productivity in a fresh-produce setting

The applicant should have:
At least a Bachelor's degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant fields OR at least 3 years relevant employment experience as a Mechanical Engineer
Previous experience in farming or horticulture settings is highly desirable
