Shipwreck Bar and Cafe, in Cooktown, Queensland, is looking for a passionate and reliable Chef or experienced Cook to join our kitchen team and work alongside our Head Chef. This is a fantastic prospect for someone who wants to work in a cooperative workplace, contribute to our menu, and help maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
What you will be doing:
Assisting the Head Chef with daily food preparation and service.
Ensuring strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
Contributing ideas for daily specials and menu adjustments.
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering when required.
What we are looking for:
Relevant trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery (Cert III or equivalent preferred) or significant commercial kitchen experience.
