Job summary
Join Built Environment Forensics to undertake water damage, mould, fire and asbestos assessments, supporting insurance restoration projects across Victoria.

About the role
Built Workplace Forensics is seeking an experienced consultant to conduct site assessments, undertake environmental sampling and prepare clear, practical reports for insurers, loss adjusters, builders and restoration contractors.

The role combines fieldwork with report preparation and requires sound technical judgement, strong communication and the ability to manage assessments independently.

Key responsibilities
Conduct water damage, mould, fire and asbestos assessments.
Undertake moisture investigations and environmental sampling.
Develop remediation scopes of works suited to site conditions and assessment findings.
Complete post-remediation verification assessments.




Prepare accurate technical reports with transparent findings and recommendations.
Liaise professionally with clients, occupants, builders and restoration contractors.
Manage site appointments and reporting deadlines.

About you
Experience in water damage assessments, asbestos assessments and insurance restoration works.
Sound understanding of ANSI/IICRC S500 and S520 standards and their practical application.
Knowledge of moisture investigations, structural drying, mould remediation and post-remediation verification.
Relevant qualifications in science, occupational hygiene or a related discipline.
Strong technical report-writing skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgement.
Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout Victoria, with occasional interstate work.
