We are looking for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal & Regulatory team.Reporting to the Head of Legal & Regulatory, you will provide strategic, commercially pragmatic legal advice across Greenstone's operations and act as a trusted senior adviser on complex commercial, regulatory and governance matters.You will partner with leaders across Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Operations, Technology, Compliance and other functions, helping the business achieve commercial objectives while effectively managing legal and regulatory risk.The breadth of this role makes it particularly attractive for an experienced financial-services lawyer who enjoys being close to decision-making and solving complex business problems.Role overviewProvide strategic legal advice across commercial, regulatory, governance and business initiatives.Draft, negotiate and advise on complex commercial agreements, partnerships and supplier arrangements.Advise on financial-services regulation and support regulatory change and engagement with relevant regulators.Manage legal risk across disputes, incidents, breach assessments, remediation and enterprise governance matters.Partner with senior stakeholders, mentor legal colleagues and support the effective management of external legal advisers.Skills & ExperienceBachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current Australian Practising Certificate.Approximately 8–12 years' post-admission experience, with significant in-house financial-services experience.Insurance, superannuation or wealth-management experience is highly regarded.Strong commercial contracting and corporate transactional experience.Strong working knowledge of financial-services regulation, including the Corporations Act and ASIC/APRA requirements, as well as privacy, consumer, competition and contract law.Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex legal matters and translate legal issues into practical commercial advice.Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation,
