Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this role will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.In this role your core responsibilities will be:Lead the development and delivery of rolling medium-term mine plans aligned with business objectives and production targets.Optimise mine designs, schedules, and resource utilisation to maximise value, productivity, and operational efficiency.Collaborate with mine planning, geology, geotechnical, operations, and commercial teams to ensure integrated planning outcomes.Manage planning risks, monitor plan compliance, and provide forecast updates to support informed decision‐making.Lead, mentor, and develop the mine planning team while driving continuous improvement and planning excellence.Requirements for the role include:Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or Civil EngineeringExtensive Open Cut mining experience with demonstrated leadership capabilitiesS123 & G2 qualifications (desirable)Demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver high performance outcomes safelyContractor Management experienceStrong communication skillsA proven ability to lead and influence a team and make decisions based on your technical expertiseExperience with Deswik and Spry software packages will be highly regardedStrong interpersonal and teamwork skillsQLD Drivers LicenceThis role requires a safety conscious candidate prepared to challenge the norm, drive continuous improvement and who can demonstrate experience in implementing best practice using a hands-on approach.What We OfferHighly competitive remuneration package including fully maintained company vehicle and an annual short-term incentive bonusNine day fortnight ********) work pattern availableFully funded FIFO from Brisbane availableDIDO or Residential options also availableProfessional development, tailored training opportunities and a generous education assistance programHealthy Lifestyle reimbursement scheme, up to $**** per yearVillage Accommodation for FIFO/DIDOHeavily subsidised Company housing along with a generous local living allowance when residing locally in local community of ClermontRelocation AssistanceAccess to Coal Mining Industry Long Service LeaveClermont is only one and a quarter hour drive from Emerald, three-and-half hour drive from Mackay and a five-hour drive from Townsville.
