Gambaro Hospitality Group is seeking a Kitchen Hand to join our team on a casual basis for ***** hours.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a quick-paced hospitality environment at our Coolangatta location.
As a Kitchen Hand, you will play an essential role in maintaining our kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting our chefs in delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
This position offers flexibility with casual hours, making it ideal for those seeking work-life balance or additional income.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and set up kitchen stations for service, ensuring all equipment and ingredients are readily available
Wash, peel, chop and prepare fresh ingredients according to recipe requirements and food safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils and cookware
Assist with food plating and presentation under the direction of kitchen staff
Store and organise food items correctly, following proper labelling and rotation procedures
Support kitchen staff with general food preparation and cooking duties
Maintain high standards of personal and kitchen hygiene in compliance with food safety regulations
Respond promptly to requests from chefs and senior kitchen staff
Take on additional duties as required to support smooth kitchen operations
What we're looking for
Prior experience working in a kitchen or hospitality environment is desirable




A willingness to learn and develop your skills in a professional kitchen setting
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
Physical fitness and capability to stand for extended periods and lift items safely
Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work varied casual shifts
Food safety knowledge or willingness to complete relevant training and certifications
