Sales Representative and Customer SupportWe are seeking a skilled and approachable Sales Representative to join our small but dynamic team in Abbotsford.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual ready to support existing customers and build and grow new business relationships using their sales expertise.
Beyond promoting Dench Bakery and strengthening customer relationships, you will be supporting the smooth operation of the office through daily customer service and relevant sales administration.
This role requires both office-based hours in our bakehouse office and face-to-face customer visits, car provided during work hours.Key responsibilitiesEngaging with cafes, restaurants, catering, hotels and speciality retailersLiaise with, and introduce, prospective clients to our premium, hand-made range of bread, pastries, and cakes/biscuits through in-person sample visitsUsing past sales data to develop targeted sales strategies, ensuring data-driven decision making and maintaining customer interactionsWork autonomously, driving sales to meet sales objectives and initiatives,



while meeting seasonal deadlinesProcess and manage customer orders as neededRespond to customer inquiries via phone and emailMonitor brand placement and identify potential new customersSupport wholesale customers with portal access and online ordering queriesLiaise with logistics and production teams to set up new customers and ensure smooth order deliveryTracking and reporting product and sales performanceAbout youDemonstrated 2-5 years' experience in sales, account management or a customer-facing commercial roleHigh level of attention to detail with a customer-focussed approachStrong written and verbal communication skills to craft tailored pitches and proposals to individual customersA creative thinker capable of identifying potential customers and building lasting relationships, including higher-end hospitality businessesA self-starter with robust time management skills, able to work efficiently and independentlyGreat analytical abilities to interpret sales data and inform strategyExperience with bakery management software is an advantageCurrent driver's licence and ability to travel to customer sites across MelbourneAbout usFor over 21 years Dench Bakers has been a presence in Melbourne's artisan baking industry, creating high-quality and hand-made products to hospitality and boutique retail sectors.
