This position plays a vital role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will work collaboratively with experienced accountants and financial professionals to deliver high-quality accounting services that contribute to the financial health and decision-making of our organisation.What you'll be doingAccounts Payable: entry of invoices for the corporate entities, generate payment list, import payments to the bankAccounts Receivable: raise invoices to broadcastersReconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepanciesMaintaining accurate and organised financial records in accordance with accounting standards and company policiesCredit card reconciliation & allocation/recharge to correct SPV entityAssisting with month-end and year-end closing proceduresPayroll: payroll is handled by our outsourced partners, but is reviewed fortnightly by this role; compilation of annual payroll lodgementsBAS calculation, reconciliation & lodgement across the multiple companiesPayroll tax reporting:



monthly & annual for all entities & various statesPreparing routine financial reports and schedules as required by senior accounting staffSupporting compliance with tax and regulatory requirements by maintaining proper documentationLiaising with internal departments and external parties to resolve accounting queries and discrepanciesContributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systemsWhat we're looking forA relevant accounting qualification such as a Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent qualification and experienceKnowledge of accounting principles, concepts and generally accepted accounting practicesProficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and MYOBStrong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and data entryExcellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasksClear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environmentReliability, discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial informationPrevious experience in an accounting role or exposure to accounting functions would be highly valuedWillingness to learn and develop skilled accounting skills and knowledgeUnlock job insightsHirer responsiveness Salary match Number of applicantsYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
