With mineralisation remaining open along strike and at depth, ongoing underground drilling is continuing to unlock further potential and extend the mine's future.About the RoleAs Senior Planning Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Galaxy Underground.
Working closely with Geology, Engineering, Operations and Technical Services, you'll lead Life‐of Mine planning, translating geological information, exploration results and operational priorities into practical mining strategies.You'll have the chance to influence mine design, sequencing, production strategy, economic evaluation and future development as the orebody continues to evolve.




This position is based out of Perth on a 4:3 roster.
Relocation assistance is on offer for interstate candidates.Your responsibilities will include:Lead underground mine planning activities across operational and strategic timeframesDevelop annual budget and Life‐of‐Mine forecasts and schedulesDevelop and assess mining strategies in collaboration with the Underground ManagerLead the mine planning team to develop short‐term, monthly and quarterly schedulesIntegrate drilling results, geological interpretation and block model updates into mine designs and sequencingRefine mining studies and future underground projects to execution readinessPrepare annual physicals and contribute to operational and capital budgetingUndertake economic analysis, including cut‐off grades and scenario modellingAbout YouYou're an experienced Senior Planning Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and turning opportunities into executable mine plans.You'll bring strong technical capability across underground mine planning, design, scheduling and economic evaluation, along with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and operational teams.To excel in this role,



you will need:Tertiary qualification in Mining EngineeringProven experience in underground mine planning, ideally within hard‐rock gold miningStrong experience across Life‐of‐Mine strategy through to short‐term schedulingHigh proficiency in mine planning and design software, ideally DeswikStrong understanding of underground mine design, development and production sequencingExperience with mining costs, cut‐off grades and economic evaluationSound knowledge of relevant mining legislationStrong analytical, problem‐solving and communication skillsA proactive approach and passion for mentoring and developing othersFirst Class Mine Manager's Certificate is desirable but not essentialWhat's in it for you?
