We are currently seeking a motivated MRF Leading Hand to join our operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about safety, operational excellence, and leading by example in a fast-paced recycling environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the MRF Supervisor, the Resource Facility Operator - Leading Hand will assist with the day-to-day operation of the facility, provide direction and support to team members, and ensure safe and efficient processing of recyclable materials.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate MRF operators and processing staff to support efficient daily operations
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site procedures and HSE requirements
Monitor processing activities to maximise productivity and material recovery
Conduct and assist with pre-start inspections, ensuring plant and equipment are operated safely
Train, mentor and support team members to build capability and performance
Identify operational issues and work with the management team to implement practical solutions
Maintain high housekeeping and site presentation standards
Complete daily operational records, inspections and reporting
Support maintenance activities and help minimise plant downtime
About you
Must be available for the afternoon shift 1:30pm - 11pm
Experience in waste,



recycling, manufacturing or processing operations
Previous experience operating front-end loaders and forklifts
Proven leadership or supervisory experience in an operational environment
Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to identify issues and find practical solutions
Competent computer skills and the ability to confidently use company systems and software
