Profectus is seeking multiple experienced Senior Test Analysts to support software testing and quality assurance within an Australian Government agency.
You will determine and carry out testing activities to validate the design and behaviour of systems and services, working closely with development teams and business stakeholders.
The work covers test strategy and planning, system integration testing, user acceptance testing and defect management.Key ResponsibilitiesLiaise with stakeholders to understand business risks and impacts, and define clear, measurable acceptance criteria for current or enhanced software featuresWork with development teams to understand system architecture, integrations, constraints, infrastructure and the downstream impacts of changeDesign, maintain and execute test strategies, test plans and test cases, including regression testingPerform system integration testing and user acceptance testing for new features, enhancements and defect fixesIdentify, analyse, log and prioritise defects, and verify fixes through re-testingMaintain full traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria, test scenarios and test casesSelect, apply and document suitable test techniques and methodologies to achieve effective test coverageProduce and maintain test artefacts, including test plans, reports and metricsMake sure acceptance criteria and definition of done are understood, agreed, documented and metLead and coordinate testing activities, including allocating work,



setting priorities and evaluating testing outcomes against business objectivesRequired ExperienceDemonstrated experience as a Senior Test Analyst in complex delivery programsISTQB certification or equivalent practical testing experienceHands‐on experience with Jira and Confluence for test and work managementExperience managing defects through their full lifecycle, from identification to verified closureStrong understanding of cloud-based environments and system integration concepts, including dependencies and downstream impacts of changeExperience delivering system integration testing, user acceptance testing and regression testingExperience maintaining traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria and test casesAbility to present technical and testing information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDesirable ExperienceExperience on Defence or national security programsExperience leading or coordinating a small test teamExposure to test automation tools and practicesExperience producing test metrics and reporting for program governanceAdvanced ISTQB certification (e.g. Test Analyst or Test Manager)Security Clearance RequirementsMust be an Australian CitizenMust have a current AGSVA Positive Vetting (TSPV) Security ClearanceWorking ArrangementsOnsiteCanberra or MelbourneWhy ProfectusProfectus partners with Australian Government agencies to deliver trusted ICT capability across complex delivery programs.
