Brisbane based opportunityMarket research role for steel making coal supply and price analysisWould suit mining engineer or geologist looking for commodity analysis roleThe opportunity:This role is responsible for providing specialist research, analysis, and developing views on global supply, cost, quality and pricing of steel making coal.The position would suit a Mining Engineer or Geologist who has a valuable understanding of mining operations and an interest in business, analysis, and research.
In this role, you would review production, quality and cost for a range of global mines and look to provide insights into short, medium and long term market fundamentals.We think the position could be a good stepping stone for a geologist or mining engineer who has analytical experience of mine planning,



feasibility studies, techno-commercial evaluation.Experience required:Bachelor's degree – ideally Mining Engineering or Geology or a related subject.
Further education in business, commerce or finance would be favourable.Site operation and analytical experience of mine planning, feasibility studies, techno-commercial evaluation.Interest in the business side of mining – pricing, economics, evaluation, events that may affect production etc.Strong experience using excel or other software for data analysis, and reporting.
