I'm partnering with a growing financial services business to recruit a Senior Accountant to join its Sydney team.This is a broad, hands-on opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to take the next step in their career.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you'll play a key role in managing the day-to-day finance function across two businesses within the group, while gaining exposure to funding, cashflow management, commercial reporting and process improvement.As the business continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to help shape and build the finance function, making this an ideal role for someone looking to move beyond traditional financial reporting and into a more operationally focused position.
This role offeres the opporutnity to grow into a Senior Manager positon over the next 24 months.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day finance activities across two businesses within the groupOversee funding, settlements, drawdowns and related finance operationsPrepare monthly management accounts, financial reporting and performance analysisSupport budgeting,



forecasting and cashflow management processesMaintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust financial controlsPartner with stakeholders across the business to support operational and financial outcomesIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilitiesSupport audit, compliance and statutory reporting requirementsAssist in building additional finance capability as the business continues to expandAbout YouCA or CPA qualified (or near completion)4-8 years' experience within Audit, Business Services or a commercial accounting environmentStrong technical accounting and financial reporting skillsExperience preparing management accounts and financial analysisA proactive and hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved in finance operationsStrong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across the businessEager to learn, develop and progress within a growing organisationFinancial services, lending or banking exposure is advantageous but not essential
