Sprocket 365 is the digital workplace platform for Microsoft 365, built by Sope, a Microsoft Partner in Melbourne.
Two products sit under the brand:Sprocket Studio gives SharePoint everything it should ship with: a real knowledge hub, a people directory that works, compliance tracking, onboarding and 40+ web parts.
IT managers and SharePoint admins buy it, and it sells through Microsoft AppSource.Sprocket Orbit is the wiki for IT teams and MSPs on Microsoft 365.
Runbooks, fixes and how-tos are quick to write and quick to find, and the AI the team already uses, whether that's Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT, can read and update them.
It installs from the Teams Store and AppSource, so an IT manager can try it with their team in an afternoon, with no sales call.Studio is the established product with paying customers.
Orbit launched this year and is the growth story.
You will work across both. The roleYou won't be inheriting a 40-page marketing plan.
You'll get two real SaaS products with paying customers around the world, existing campaign data, direct access to the people building them, and the freedom to work out what actually drives growth.Six months to sharpen how we talk about Sprocket, then put that message in front of the right people. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on SaaS marketer who owns the work directly, rather than a marketing manager who mainly delegates.
You'll use AI agents and automation to carry the volume, and keep your own judgement for the messaging and the calls on what's working. It starts with messaging.
Both products sell to IT, for different reasons.
Studio talks to IT managers and SharePoint admins who want SharePoint to do more, and want to know what it will cost them in support.
Orbit talks to the IT manager who is the person everyone rings when something breaks, and to the MSP looking after dozens of client tenants.
Their fixes are scattered across OneNote, Teams chats and a few people's heads, and they're one resignation away from losing them. What you'll doYour biggest priorities are sharpening the messaging, running paid acquisition and improving EDM and trial nurture.
You'll also own the wider program across content, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn and marketplaces, but we don't expect every channel to move at once.Your prioritiesBrand messaging: build a messaging framework for both products.
Positioning, value props, proof points, key lines and a short tone guide.
For Orbit, that means a sharp story for IT managers and MSPs:
the knowledge that stays when people leave.Paid acquisition: run our paid campaigns end to end across Meta, LinkedIn and Reddit.
Targeting, copy, creative briefs, budgets and the read on what each test told us.
Meta is the proven channel today, with an existing ad concept library to work from.
For Orbit, LinkedIn means IT Managers, Heads of IT and MSP owners at 50 to 1,000 staff organisations.EDMs and trial nurture: product updates, release notes and nurture sequences to our customer and trial lists, built and sent in HubSpot.
For Orbit, that includes helping new trial teams get to their first useful runbook fast. Also yours, as the priorities allowSearch and comparison content: articles and pages IT people actually search for, such as moving off OneNote, comparing Orbit with Confluence or IT Glue, and keeping runbooks current with AI.Reddit: genuine participation in the communities where IT people and MSPs talk shop.
Helpful first, promotional rarely.
You know how Reddit treats brands that get this wrong.YouTube: long, unscripted walkthroughs IT people trust, such as moving a OneNote notebook into Orbit or connecting Claude to a team wiki.
Titles, descriptions, thumbnails and playlists that help people find them.Marketplaces and reviews: keep our AppSource and Teams Store listings sharp, and grow our G2 reviews.
IT buyers check these before they trial anything.LinkedIn: our company page, plus content for the founders to post.Build your stack: set up the AI workflows and automations that keep content, ads and reporting moving without you doing everything by hand.
Document them in Orbit so they outlast the contract.Report back: a straightforward monthly view of what is working, against the measures below. How we'll measure itOrbit installs from the Teams Store and AppSource, and trial teams that go on to payCost per install or lead on each paid channelG2 reviewsEDM open, click and unsubscribe ratesFollower and engagement growth on LinkedIn and YouTube, and referral traffic from RedditInstalls, paying teams and leads come first.
Reach and likes are useful context. You'll inherit existing Studio customers, past campaign results and an established Meta program.
Orbit is earlier stage, so part of the first few months is setting acquisition benchmarks and finding the channels that repeat. What we're looking forProven B2B SaaS marketing experienceAI-native marketing (vibe marketing, if that's what you call it).
You already use AI agents and automation day to day (Claude, ChatGPT, n8n, Make or similar) to research, write, create variants, launch tests and report back.
You can show a workflow you built and what it enabled you to shipYou've marketed to IT people, sysadmins or MSPs, and they didn't tune you outMessaging and positioning work you can show: a framework, a repositioning, or a launch you shapedA strong writer who can explain a technical product in plain English, without the buzzwords IT people roll their eyes atHands on in Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
You have built campaigns and read the results back into the next test.
Reddit Ads experience is a plusKnows how to show up on Reddit without getting downvoted out of the threadConfident building and sending campaigns in HubSpot or a similar email platformSelf directed, organised, and able to get things done with light supervisionNice to haveFamiliarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams or the Microsoft partner ecosystemYou know the MSP world: tools like IT Glue, Hudu, or a PSA or RMMBasic design and video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe) for thumbnails and simple edits.
We have a contractor for more advanced video editingExperience with marketplace listings: AppSource, the Teams Store, G2 or an equivalentWho you'll work withYou'll work alongside the product team who build Studio and Orbit.
They're your go-to for demos, screenshots, product knowledge and fact checks.
You'll have one main point of contact and a weekly marketing check-in.How we'll support youAccess to HubSpot, the ad accounts and our social channels from day oneBrand assets, the existing Meta ad concept library and past campaign resultsA clear brief on who Orbit is for, the problems it solves for them, and the messages we're testingLength: 6 months, with potential to extendArrangement: full-time independent contract, around 38 hours a weekLocation: Australia or fully remoteTime overlap: most of your working day should overlap with Melbourne business hours (UTC+10/+11).
A few hours either side is fine
